Prom Portraits in Verona: A Backyard Pre-Prom Session

Prom season is always a fun time to photograph. Before heading off to their junior prom, a group of friends gathered in a Verona backyard for portraits with family and classmates.

Using a simple outdoor setup and professional lighting, I photographed individual portraits, couples, small groups, and larger group photos throughout the afternoon. The tree-lined backyard provided a clean backdrop while allowing plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy the experience.

One of my favorite parts of sessions like this is the variety. In just over an hour, we moved from classic individual portraits to couples, friend groups, and a few less-serious moments in between. The result was a collection of images that captured both the formal side of prom and the excitement of spending the evening with friends.
